In my own work, it is important that each painting 'sings' with its own color chord to create the desired mood, depth and intrigue. I love to teach color and am passionate about assisting artists in reaching their potential. I have worked in oils, acrylics, watercolor, pastels and oils that are water mixable.

Carol A. McIntyre
_ Hello! I am Carol McIntyre, Color Maestro, and I work with artists ready to invest in taking their color skills to the next level. These artists also want to create compelling paintings that engage more viewers.
My journey with color began early in my art career while I was working with watercolors and was obsessed with becoming consciously aware of how to mix and use color. Later, I added pastel and oils to my repertoire. I have taught many semester-long classes and workshops about color, and now look forward to taking advantage of today's technology to impart my knowledge and energy via the comfort of your home or studio internationally.

Brief Bio:
"I love your colors!" is an exclamation I frequently hear when people look at my paintings. My journey with color began when I solicited feedback from a well-known artist/instructor. He stated, "You already know color." Unsatisfied with his response, I pursued an intensive color course in the University of Minnesota's graphics art department. Studying color has been a passion for a long time.
At 36, I unlocked the artistic vault that I had sealed for over 15 years, and traded my corporate suits in for an artist's smock after my late mother-in-law introduced me to watercolor. After 15 years of working in watercolor and achieving signature status with the Transparent Watercolor Society and serving for 2 years as president of the Minnesota Watercolor Society, I added pastel and then oils to my repertoire. This multi-media expertise enables me to work with virtually any painter who wants to improve their color skills. I am also honored with associate memberships to the Oil Painters of America and the American Pastel Society.
Along with my sense of humor, compassion and authenticity, I have been told that I inspire artists to pursue their passions. My heart sings when I see 'light bulbs' illuminate during my color classes, and I hear, "This is fun!"

* Advanced beginner is someone who has completed at least 15-20 paintings. They do not need to be good paintings, but paintings from which you have learned.
